Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 July 2026 · Contact: team@edvet.in
These Terms govern the use of edvet.in, our WhatsApp channel, and our dashboards (together, the “Platform”), operated by Edvet, Hyderabad, Telangana, India (“Edvet”, “we”). By creating an account, submitting an enquiry, or continuing on WhatsApp, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. What Edvet is
Edvet is a marketplace that introduces learners (“Students”) to independent, verified teachers and teaching establishments (“Teachers”). Teachers are independent professionals — not employees, agents, or representatives of Edvet. The teaching relationship and its fees are between Student and Teacher; Edvet facilitates matching, scheduling, verification, and communication.
2. Accounts & eligibility
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account. Classes for minors must be arranged and supervised by a parent or guardian holding the account.
- Sign-in uses your phone number with OTP; keep your device secure — actions taken through your number are yours.
- You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.
3. For Students
- Your first class with a matched Teacher is a free demo (currently 30 minutes) unless stated otherwise.
- You pay your Teacher directly (UPI or cash). Edvet never collects money from Students, and holds no Student funds.
- When you confirm on WhatsApp that you have paid your Teacher, that confirmation unlocks your learning programme; please confirm honestly.
- Cancellations are free up to 6 hours before a session; repeated late cancellations or no-shows may reduce your matching priority.
- Health information you share is used only for safe matching (e.g., prenatal-certified teachers). Yoga involves physical activity — consult a doctor where appropriate; you participate at your own responsibility.
4. For Teachers & Establishments
- Listing requires successful verification: government-ID (Aadhaar) check, certificate authentication, experience review, and a scored teaching video. Verification may be refused or revoked for misrepresentation.
- Edvet charges a one-time success fee (currently ₹1,000 + GST = ₹1,180) per Student who converts — i.e., completes a demo, chooses to continue, and pays their first fee to you. There are no listing or subscription fees.
- The fee is invoiced with GST and due within 48 hours; you may authorise a UPI Autopay mandate for automatic settlement (with benefits such as the Assured Partner badge).
- Non-payment leads to graduated, reversible consequences: paused matching, freeze, suspension, and ultimately removal with identity-based re-registration blocking. Disputes pause escalation and are reviewed fairly.
- Taking a Edvet-introduced Student off-platform to avoid the success fee is a material breach and grounds for removal.
- You confirm you hold the qualifications you claim, will teach safely within your competence, and are solely responsible for your own taxes.
- Establishments are responsible for the conduct and fees of teachers on their roster; every rostered teacher completes verification individually.
5. Conduct
- No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour — online or in class. Safety incidents are acted on immediately and may involve authorities.
- No false information, fake reviews, or manipulated confirmations.
- No misuse of the Platform: scraping, reverse engineering, spam, or interfering with our systems.
6. Content & reviews
Reviews must reflect genuine experience; we may moderate content that is unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent. By posting content (including Teacher profiles, blogs, and videos) you grant Edvet a licence to display it on the Platform and in our marketing; Teachers retain ownership of their content.
7. Our role & liability
- Verification reduces risk; it is not a guarantee. Edvet is not a party to the Student–Teacher contract and is not liable for the acts or omissions of either.
- The Platform is provided “as is”; we aim for high availability but do not warrant uninterrupted service.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edvet’s aggregate liability to a Teacher is limited to fees paid to us by that Teacher in the preceding 6 months; to a Student, to ₹1,000 (Students pay us nothing).
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
8. Suspension & termination
You may stop using Edvet anytime (see the Privacy Policy for data deletion). We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice and — except for serious safety or fraud cases — an opportunity to respond.
9. General
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction.
- If any clause is held invalid, the rest remain in force.
- We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified on WhatsApp or your dashboard, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
- Grievance & notices: team@edvet.in.
